Some of the most sought after information on search engines by consumers is product reviews, and if you own or manage a brick and mortar business, I would suggest you google your products to see if their are any reviews of them on the internet. Of course, this begs the question, have you written any product reviews about your products?
A great way to gain more visitors is to write comprehensive product reviews on all of the goods that your company sells. Imagine having reviews that contain pictures, video, and a complete analysis of the performance for each product. Do you think you would gain more traffic? Would your products get more exposure? And what if you included links to a “pitch page” for each of the reviewed products?
Sun Zsu once said “keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” What if you took this sage advice to your competitive market and created a website that appeared to sell the products and services of both you and your competitor? Sounds pretty crazy huh?
But think about the value of such a site. Would it not attract many more visitors if it contained all of the competitors in your niche or local/regional area of operations? And if it was well written with brilliant content, could it appear to show no favoritism but have one particular company seem to gain an upper hand?
The key to successful internet marketing is to understand 2 things:
- The rules have changed
- Nobody knows rule #1
Product Reviews Attract More Internet Buyers
One of the first things I do when I want to buy something is to check out the general category of products that might fulfill my needs. After doing this, I narrow my choices down to a few products, and then I try to read as many reviews as I can find in order to see what others think about the quality and performance of each contender.
Having spoken with many people on the subject of product reviews, I know that I am not alone in seeking them out before I buy. I would think that any brick and mortar company that carries a line of products, or sells a lot of products, would benefit from a strong product review website.
